What is the difference between eyeshadow primer and concealer?

I was just wondering if you could use normal concealer or just even cover up as an eye primer instead of paying big bucks for an actual eye primer? What is the difference between eyeshadow primer and concealer?
Concealer works great as an eyeshadow primer substitute, but if you want it to last longer, than use eyeshadow primer.

I use concealer as my ';primer.'; It only lasts for about 8 hours though, but I'm okay with that, because I don't need to be with make-up for 8 hours. :)

Do you need to wear foundation if you are just wearing eyeshadow and concealer?

Help... I think of have marks on my face from not wearing it...Do you need to wear foundation if you are just wearing eyeshadow and concealer?
You don't NEED it but if you want to it's okay. Wearing eyeshadow and concealer without foundation doesn't leave you unpleasant marks when used alone. Just make sure you blend your concealer to your skin well that it won't look obvious that you're wearing one.Do you need to wear foundation if you are just wearing eyeshadow and concealer?
If you don't need foundation, don't wear it. If you have nice skin, why even bother? Eyeshadow and concealer are good enough, plus foundation feels heavy and greasy sometimes, ewww!
You don't have to wear foundation with concealer, but it is helpful to as far as application of the concealer is concerned.

Not only will the foundation help even your skin tone, but concealer glides on more smoothly over foundation than it does on bare skin. To apply concealer, dot under the eye or on the problem areas, then pat into your skin using your fingertip. Smudging or rubbing is more harmful to the delicate skin under your eyes.

Hope this helps!!
You only need to wear foundation if your skin tone is uneven. Otherwise concealer only would be just fine.
No foundation is for if your skin is uneven.

eyeshadow and concealer are fine without a

foundation
no just make sure the concealer matchs your skin

or every couple hours go to a mirror and and smooth it out i have problems with mine unde my eyes (the creases under them) i just run my finger over it and its fine . try that and see if it helps
If it's done well then it will work well. I done that for about a year before I started to wear foundation.
no; foundation is for an uneven skin tone.

it has nothing to do with eyeshadow.

you should be fine without it.

just try to blend the concealer a little better.

dab at it with your finger tip until it doesnt stick out so much.
dont bother with foundation its gross and looks made up. grab some translucent powder. it goes on even and with concealer applied properly (and not to thick) it will look great and natural.

I have dark circles, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer -- How should I apply them? Tips?

I'm 14 and I have serious dark circles. I sleep well and all that, but they don't seem to go away. I'm tired of stressing out over them, so I don't want tips on helping get rid of them.

I want good all-over eye makeup ideas.

Eyeliner, mascara, concealer, eyeshadow.

I have nice eyes, but I feel like these dark circles ruin them.

I love eye makeup, so I need good tips.

I have blue/green eyes.I have dark circles, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer -- How should I apply them? Tips?
Yeah, nothing much gets rid of them, they may be inherited, or they may be caused by allergies.

Use your concealer after you moisturize and before you use a foundation...if you wear a foundation. If you don't use a foundation, you should use a face powder on top of the concealer to ';seal'; it otherwise your eyeliner and mascara will smudge during the day because the concealer has oils in it which will break down your eye makeup.

I put my concealer all over my eyelid to use as a base for my eyeshadow. I have green eyes and find that the best color eyeshadows for me are in the pink and purple shades. They bring out the color of my eyes best.

I read a great eyeliner tip the other day: draw a thin line starting at your inner eye, as you reach the middle of your eye thicken the line. This makes your eyes look bigger. Check out photos of Angelina Jolie, she does her eyeliner this way. Have fun!I have dark circles, eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer -- How should I apply them? Tips?
What about smokey eyes? May be not for everyday though..

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2007/01鈥?/a>
okay to get rid of the dark circles, put 3 dabs of concealer under them and rub it on to get rid of the circles. i also have blue green eyes myself, and a very light purple looks very pretty, or ever a light green or pink looks nice. for eye liner you could use a chocolate color or a dark navyish color. use a peach colored blush and just apply it to the cheek bones up into your eye direction. a clear or soft pink tinted lip gloss would look pretty also. and dont go too heavy on the mascara or youll look weird. just go lightly, enough so that you can have fuller lashes. hope it works!
Avon has an awsome product for dark circles under your eyes. I'm 19 and I use this and anti-wrinkle cream, I want to beat it all BEFORE it even starts to happen. I'm also a workaholic and help take care of a 2 year old, so renew does wonders for me.

First of all, with blue/green eyes STOP USING BLACK!!! I will look up stuff to see what is the best for you, and I will e-mail you, or leave another comment.

I also love eye make-up and have found that if I use a ';base'; first, nude colors show up a lot more and you can tell I have eye shadow on. Get a creamy type of eyeshadow in white, and put that on first. Also, eye liner (top lid only) in a THIN line looks awsome.....I love liquid eye liner. Buy some (felt tip may be easier for you) and spend a night playing with it to get the right pressure and practice practice practice!!! To make a thin line easier, pull on the outer corners of your eyelid to make your lid tight.

Good luck!!!!
Try to drink more water. Sometimes if you're not eliminating the toxins in your body your skin reflects that. Also, try vitamins, if nothing else, just a daily one.

If you want to just cover it up, use a sponge (you can get them at the dollar store) to apply a liquid foundation. You can then use a powder over that to set it. That will usually work for the day, but you may need to reapply after a few hours (if you go right from school to out with friends, etc). Also-some companies, such as Avon, offer topical (skin cream) remedies for under-eye circles but these can be pricey.

I hope this helped you, Good Luck!
use the concealer first just put some on the dark circles then rub with your finger around the whole bottom area of your eyes. Don't put too much though. I lil bit will be okay cuz if will blend good after 5 min. Then put eyeshadow and then use the mascara. I use a lil blush on my cheeks so the dark circles are don't stand out that much.

:)
haha you have the same problem as me. I can't get rid of them either, but what I like to do to help is to first exfoliate and moisturize my face (yeah like everyday) and then I put concealer under my eyes, after that I put on a little bit of foundation, and then just a small line of eyeliner under my lower lashes. But what helps the most is not wearing dark eyeshadows, they only make you notice the dark circles even more. try wearing silver, pink, and other light colored eyeshadows.
people that have natural Cat eyes to me are beautiful, but to get a cat eye look you can apply a little bit of darker shading than your skin coler but make sure its just a touch of not a drastic dark from your skin, and stroke up a hint. and use a black mascara and if you have natural long eyelashes that always helps a hint but its sucks for those who have to resort in an eyelash curler or fake eyelashes the little bit of dark shadow and the cat eye look eliminates Dark circles ,,!!!!

Do you think pinks, purples, blues, and greens are cheesy eyeshadow colors? Do you think naturals are better?

I think colored eyeshadows are cheesy looking.

I personally think you should go with natural colors.

But I want to know what you think!Do you think pinks, purples, blues, and greens are cheesy eyeshadow colors? Do you think naturals are better?
People can definatly overdo it, but I love neutral colors and colors. The color eyeshadow that I use are from Cover girl, because they have the different color pack. You are supposed to put the medium color from the lash line to the brow bone, then I put the darker shade in the crease, then the lightest near the eyebrow and it looks awesome because all the colors blend together. I personally stick with lighter colors like pinks or purples because I have blue eyes. If you use darker colors I think too that some people who don't put it on right look like clowns. When I go out to the clubs or bars is when I use colors. the color by Cover girl I use is called Dance party, and it is my all time favorite color eyeshadow. It all depends on what color eyes and skin tone you have to find the right colors for you.Do you think pinks, purples, blues, and greens are cheesy eyeshadow colors? Do you think naturals are better?
If your going to use vibrant colours for eyeshadow the rest of your makeup has to be minimal (no Scarlett red lipstick) and try to wear a solid colour shirt (black or white) so that you don't look overdone.

Besos

Khetani
I dont know, i use silver
i think what u think. :-)
i wouldn't say the blues/purples/greens are ';cheesy,'; they're just very trendy, cliche, and boring. you see them most commonly on the exact same shallow fashion-core indie fashionistas who strive for a unique look, only to end up looking exactly the same as all their friends, with the choppy black/white zebra bob, black jeans, etc.

lame.
I love neutrals like browns and light light pinks.
It all depends, on the outfit you're wearing, where you're going, what you are going to be doing. Like, I have a purple shirt, and I noticed when I use this light lavender eyeshadow, it really makes my eyes POP, but when I wear a different color shirt, I just look like somebody who seriously needs make-up help.. But, most the time naturals are much better. and, prettier, in my opinion.
I love wearing green eyeshadow

It looks wild and funky

And it blends very well with fair skin

=)
I think naturals are better, but pinks and purples can work sometimes.
Natural makeup colors are always best, because it allows for your natural beauty to shine through. When your makeup is so noticeable that it becomes the first thing people notice about you, then it is not right for you. If you pair those 'cheesy' colors with the natural ones, you can get away with them though.
i use pinks......but i dont over do it its a wintery look and i dont put too much on i love natrual colors on the upper part of my eye a soft gold or shimmery brown always looks nice on me but a pale pink or a shimmery pale pink always looks great on me because im black and im yella bone so i try to find something mild and not all crazy out there but earth tones are really in
I think that using colored eyeshadows are okay...as long as you don't overdo it...and as long as you know what you're doing.

But, in my opinion, I don't think anyone should wear light blue...because people tend to really overdo it with that color. blech.
Naturals are better
It depends on what your skin complexion is.
i like natural colors best because it is natural and it goes with your skin best and it is not too much its just simple and basic
I LOVE pink eye shadows, especially w/blue eyes.

I also have a favorit bluish/purplish eye shadow that I wear, it's the same color as my eyes.

Maybe your teacher just wore way too much of it!!!

Wear what looks good on YOU! Everyones different, some ppl jus never figure it out! :)
no eye shadow colour i cheesy..it should look good on u..i love all colours from christian dior..especially the 5 colour palette..u can use 5 colours, blend them to achieve the desired look..but for office wear one should stick to natural colours....other colours are for an intense and dramatic look for parties...one should experiment..naturals are great..but while u r young, energetic, fresh u must opt for bright shades...they look happy too....u got ur whole life left to wear naturals....
I have a preference for naturals. Colors can create a dramatic and interesting effect, but you have to be really careful in you creativity because it's easy to overdo a makeup scheme. Maybe it would be interesting to use all neutrals except for one colorful color; the neutral will tone down the color, and the colorful shade will make the neutrals more shocking and interesting.
It depends on how you use it.
I used to wear natural looking ones but Lily Allen wears bright red and yellow and green and it looks wayyyyyy good!

So im starting to wear bright eye shadows now lol

Looks awesome.

x.x.x
I think it depends on how you wear them... if they are light, or sheer.. I love colors on people, they can really make an outfit, or make their eyes pop... but if they put it on too heavy its tacky.
pinks purples blues and greens look right on the right person. if it doesn't look good on you, go with the naturals.

Natural makeup look and how to make eyeshadow last longer?

I need a natural make-up look. I have to wear foundation though, but it's clinique and it really isnt that thick. I have a light pink gloss, black and blue eyeliner, all kinds of eyeshadow, and blush that seem a little too pink for a natural look. I also have mascara. What should i use? I was thinking of a light layer of eyeliner. I don't have brown right now. =/ So, please help. I want it to look natural, and I want my eyes to really look pretty.

i have brown hair brown eyes. also, do you know anyways to make eyeshadow last longer?Natural makeup look and how to make eyeshadow last longer?
Well in my opinion, a natural make-up look only consists of mascara, blush, and some lip gloss... Dark coloured eye shadows tend to create a rather dramatic look, and pink blushes aren't really that natural since you want to look as if you have rosy cheeks from exercise or something. The best is to stay away from dark coloured eye shadow or don't even use it at all, but if you must it would be best to use light colours like baby pink, or pale green or something like that (those colours also compliment brown eyes). The best colour of blush to use is to use a kind of orange-y/pink-y shade, although it does depend on what colour your skin is.

A way to make your eye shadow last longer is to apply a make-up base (the same colour as your skin) or even foundation and then apply the eye shadow on - the powder will stick to the foundation so it'll last longer.

Hope I helped! :)Natural makeup look and how to make eyeshadow last longer?
there's eye primer stuff that you put on before eye makeup that keeps it looking fresh for hours. lots of the companies make it, i use the mary kay one.

for natural makeup look use bare minerals. you just brush it one and it makes your face look soooo good without that heavy foundation feel.

black and blue eyeliner is never going to look natural - browns, smoky grays are the natural look. if you only have black, then really smudge it so it doesn't look harsh. otherwise you can seriously curl your eyelashes, use mascara and forgo eyeliner at all...
So, the most natural look that you could get with brown hair and brown is:

use as little foundation as humanly possible

use your black eyeliner and only outline your upper lid with a teeny tiny gentle line (if you draw it on to thick, use a q-tip to wipe some away)

Use only one coat of black mascara

if you have some orangish-brownish-pinkish eyeshadow dab the tip of your finger into the shadow and then tap around the apple of your cheek and blend

no lip gloss

no eye shadow

VOILA!

I hope this helps.

Best drugstore eyeshadow for an Asian's natural eyes?

besides loreal hip and maxfactor and revlon, cos those are kinda expensive for a highschool student. the ones available in australia, too, in my pharmacies like priceline and target and kmart there is:

covergirl

rimmel

maybelline

almay

australis

savvy

...

im considering either the rimmel quad or the covergirl, i want a really natural eyeshadow makeup that enhances my eyes for when i go out during the day (not at school). but pigmented and a little shimmer!

thanks!Best drugstore eyeshadow for an Asian's natural eyes?
Hi

i work as the cosmetician at priceline:)

and if you go i and see someone like myself and tell us your budget we can go from there

hope this helps see you soon:)Best drugstore eyeshadow for an Asian's natural eyes?
I suggest Covergirl or Maybelline. Do NOT buy Rimmel London. Seriously, I have a duo and you don't get a lot of color. You have to press down and dig to get some on your brush. And if it looks dark in the case, when you put it on it is light and not so pigmented.

You can buy Covergirl and Maybelline at Target. Have fun :)
cover girl or maybelline, definately. i don't use alot of almay but it seems like an ok brand. i would use rimmel before almay, actually. i just like thier stuff better.
the best one is the rimmel one that has 3 in the pan.

Go to kmart when they have buy one get one. They always have those sales.
covergirl
rimmel. it really enhances eyes for strong bold looks

  • Eyeshadow for green eyes? natural makeup!?

Best colours for green eyes...natural makeup! i have dark green eyes, quite small!Eyeshadow for green eyes? natural makeup!?
i have green eyes too. i like to wear my makeup natural as well, so what i use is natural shades of browns and golds.

i love victorias secret ';beauty rush'; eye shadows. i apply a dark brown to my eye lids, and starting from the crease i use almost an brownish amber color from the crease to the bottom of my brow bone. then at the eyebrows i use an even lighter warm golden color that i just brush on. i always use like a walnut colored eyeliner on the top and bottom, i ahve very big eyes and extremly long eyelashes, but if you have smaller eyes, try to stay away from dark colors. apply mascara to your lashes and thats really all you need to do to have a frsh natural look that will make your eyes pop.

another tip is that purple is the best color to use with green eyes if you would want to try a different color. purple is the opposire color of green, it is amazing how noticable your eye color looks when you use purple shades.

i really hope this works for you!Eyeshadow for green eyes? natural makeup!?
Darker shades of brown and golds would be best with green eyes. Brown brings out the green in your eyes and the darker colours will make small eyes look bigger.

To make it look more natural, don't use too much eyeshadow, be subtle. Use a good quality, volumising mascara to accentuate your eyes.
I have green eyes and the best colors are golds, bronze's, browns and black....black really makes green eyes pop. Also try silver. Silver looks amazing with green eyes :)
Ive seen purple is great color for green eyes. Or for more natural go with darker earthtones like brown, or tan. Use a lot of mascara to show off your eyes.
I have geen eyes and I make sure my eye brow's are well waxed and I use denim blue colours and browns and smokey Gray's and a good mascara!
Purple, dark green, gold/brown,%26amp; ALWAYS brown eyeliner.
line your eyes with soft brown eyeshadow, then add darker browns for definition. Add broze and gold for sparkle and pizazz!!
Yes. browns, golds and purples all show up the colour of your eyes.
Stick to neutral shades i.e. browns and beiges. Also gold is nice.
    shades of browns and golds

Eyeshadow problem... which color looks natural on pale skin?

i always have trouble with eyeshadow i'm really pale. i was gonna try maybelline expertwear eyeshadow quad. do you think sunlit bronze or enchanted forest would look good on my pale skin?Eyeshadow problem... which color looks natural on pale skin?
I am pale and if I want to go for a natural look, I use pale to medium pinks, beige/tan, and light browns all over my lids. I use ivory/white under my eye brows or just above my eye liner. Bright pinks, dark browns, golds are usually too harse. Dark smokey greys are still ok for a night time more dramatic look. I think blues, greens, and purples are just trashy and should only be used for certain occasions.Eyeshadow problem... which color looks natural on pale skin?
probaly like a shimmer eyeshadow, or if want to use a darker shadow trying using a broner that fits your skin color so you don't look so pale.
What color's your hair? Well I'm blonde and have fair skin so any color pretty much looks good on me. I suggest a light pink. Or shimmery white or grey. A light Purple would also look good. This with some pink lipgloss will look ah-mazing! Remember to not overapply! :)
Yes those colours sound good. Earth tones will make the skin warmer looking and look natural.
I have pale skin, too, so I understand your plight. Bronzes and greens may look a bit awkward. Some browns may be fine. You may want to head toward warmer grays; lavender is also a nice color that isn't too dark.

Keep in mind, it also depends on your hair color.
try using Revlon 12Hour ColorStay Eyeshadow. It comes in a palette of 4 colors and they have lots of colors so you are sure to find one that you like and is neutral to suit your complexion. Plus it is a great way to cover up dark circles under your eye! Just use a color that is slightly lighter than your skin tone if you use it for dark circles. You can find this at walmart and other places! Try them! you'll love them!!

What color eyeshadow should i wear if i want my blue to stand out but look natural at the same time?

    blue what? eyes?

well i think that you should wear a combo of any of these:

    eyeshadow: green, light blue, purple

    eyeliner: black, purple, brown

mascara: black with clear over it

hope that i have helped! What color eyeshadow should i wear if i want my blue to stand out but look natural at the same time?
Smokey grey at the outer corners with a lighter grey at the inner corners followed up by a soft brown black eyeliner thicker at the outer ends. Do not bring the liner all the way in on the bottom. Stop about 3/4 of the way to toward your nose.

Additionally, browns will make blue eyes stand out if done as above. Stay away from blues as you do not want too much blue. Frosty colors will take away from the sparkle in your eyes and highligh any creases from your eyelids, so avoid those tooWhat color eyeshadow should i wear if i want my blue to stand out but look natural at the same time?
Well, of course black eyeshadow really makes blue eyes pop--but if you want something more natural, I suggest something in the brown, golden or coral tones. Mascara too.
The purple color emphasizes the color of the eyes
i will recommend bLack eye shad0w its totally fits to your eyes

    Natural eyeshadow?

i want a natural color of eyeshadow- i have hazel brown eyes dark brown long hair and light bronzey skin color. thanks :)Natural eyeshadow?
What on earth is natural eyeshadow? No such thing dear.Natural eyeshadow?
i would say a light purple would look good
    everybodys born with natural eyeshadow

but if you really want eyeshadow, try something golden, nothing too funky
A lot of the major makeup brands have eye shadow palettes. It's helpful to experiment to see what you think looks best on you. I use a darker color at the outside corners and on the brow bone and a lighter color on the lid.
A dark Color will bring out you
well, if you have a bronze skin, i would say go with a gold or a brown. i think gold would look really cute ! and it would also bring out your eye colour !
I think a brown/gold tone! It looks great but still natural

    hope it helps :)

EVERYONE, GUYS AND GIRLS, ummm do you think that i should use eyeshadow or keep it natural?

i have BRIGHT blue eyes. i cannot decide weather to keep them natural looking just with a tinny bit of mascara. Or to make the smokey eye! like with realllly full eye lashes, a smmall amount of eyeliner, and a little bit of darrrrrk brown eye shadow (not like emoish if that is what you are thinkin') the dark really makes my eyes pop. but tell me the truth what looks besta! (IM A TEEN)EVERYONE, GUYS AND GIRLS, ummm do you think that i should use eyeshadow or keep it natural?
it would be better if u posted a pic!!!EVERYONE, GUYS AND GIRLS, ummm do you think that i should use eyeshadow or keep it natural?
I say keep it natural. Most people don't know how to apply eyeshadow properly and end up looking like clowns.
Keep it natural. Most people who wear too much make-up look older. You can put make-up on but i suggest keeping it simple.
To make your eyes pop, it's always best to use a darker color on the bottom of your eyelid, and on the top something lighter. Try both ways, with makeup, and then on day try to go natural. You'll see which one you like better.
Depends. Maybe for daytime you should keep it more natural and at night go for the smokey effect.
I also have bright blue eyes and to make mine pop i use a brown liner, light brown eye shadow, and blue mascara
true beauty is natural beauty. to cover up natural beauty with makeup is like giving a million dollars to a billionair.
    Everyday: no smokey

    Event: smokey!
I go crazy for mascara and eye liner.
Send me a pic of your eyes and I could tell you.
bright blue eyes are enough. but a bit of dark blue eyeshadow to highlight your eyes might just make people melt
For the day, wear one coat of mascara (brown if you're blonde, black if you're brunette) and a thin line of eyeliner (same as before).

For the night, if you're going to a party, put on black mascara (two coats) and some Kohl eyeliner and smudge it with a smudging brush.
for everyday i would keep it natural...maybe a little bit of eyeliner or mascara. for an event go with a more dramatic smokey eye
I can't say, If you have a picture of your eyes that you can send to me. then i could tell you. here's my e-mail Srhnnlymn @ yahoo.com
i say keep it natural =]

you should put a picture of your eyes
I use to do the smokey eye look and thought it looked great...until i saw picutres, eyeshadow tends to weigh down your face, and even if you think it mkaes your eyes pop, it actually just destracts them. Also, if you wear the smokey look day to day when you have an occasion to look fancy for you don't really look any different. My sugestion to make your eyes really pop is skip the eyeshadow and liner and use quite a few coats of mascara-it makes your eyes look really big and draws good attention to them, also you look more natural, not as fake.
I like to see girls in black eyeliner. It's really hot! Eyeshadow is optional. Reba has the best answer.
I have bright blue eyes tooo...during the day i just put a lil mascara...and during the evening ill do smokey or some other color to make my eyes look sexy....especially when im going out....good luck!

God, your coloring is gorgeous and you have TONS of options in many different lines. Stila has some beautiful naturals for evening for you and, if you don't mind a little shimmer, they're great for day as well. Try Nude, Launey, Icon, Summer from here:

M.A.C.'s ';Cork'; is a must for your coloring along with Honey Lust, Samoa Silk, Rice Paper, Amber Lights, Retrospeck, Motif and Soba for some contrast. You'll find swatches here:

I can go on and on but those are starters. I think it's wonderful that you want to keep your make-up fairly natural as those are the kinds of colors that are going to suit you best. An excellent matching foundation (when you wear it), a neutral eye pallete w/ neutral liners (black will be a tad harsh with your coloring/brown would be lovely), Lips %26amp; cheeks in a fresh but not too bright peachy color and you'll be good to go. NARS has several blushes that would suit you such as Torrid, Orgasm Deep Throat and Amour. You'll find them here:

try browns creams whites or even try dark colours!
Light brown :) try the avon .
Try the colors sandstone and roselle by bee luscious cosmetics with the long lasting eye liner in onyx and carbon black mascara.

Ca-peach-ino triple split blush and liptox sheer to finish off the look !
Look for a shade that is as close to your own skin tone as possible or a shade darker. Try tan or light brown which is the least dramatic eyeshadow color. You can also try shades of pale white, pale pink or pale silver.

Also, don't worry about that extra question mark! They put a question mark on the end of every tital question that you don't put it in. You might have not even put it on there!
mary kay has really great powders..Gold Leaf is my favorite; it might look intense in the pallete, but it goes on more natural.
    a light brown....

Wot color eyeshadow n eyeliner do u wear day2day 4 natural look?

pink shadow and black eyeliner (little):]Wot color eyeshadow n eyeliner do u wear day2day 4 natural look?
for eyeshadow, it depends on your skin tone. follow this:

fair skinned: lilac, light blue, for natural look a nude golden

medium skinned: baby blue, melon, for natural, a olive tone

tan skin: midnight blue, purple shadow for natural, a beige tone

dark skin: navy blue, dark purple, for natural, a tan tone.Wot color eyeshadow n eyeliner do u wear day2day 4 natural look?
Well, I personally don't use it, because I usually don't go for the natural look, but if you are then I suggest brown pencil liner, and warm coloured eyeshadow (browns, beiges, etc.)
i have really pale skin, but i love to wear a natural dark brown colored eyeshadow because it brings out my green eyes. i also just use black eyeliner for my waterline and outlining the edges of my eyes.
On a daily basis, I wear black mascara, black eyeliner made from mineral shadow so it's not so harsh (more like charcoal), and really light brown or ivory eyeshadow. I have really light skin so it makes my eyes *pop*!
    eyeshadow: pink, light purple

eyeliner: black, olive green (Not as weird as it sounds), and brown

    mascara: black or brown
I'd suggest brown eyeliner and a nude coloured eyeshadow such as creams and light browns - warm colours that are just near your skin tone.
Don't wear eyeshadow or eyeliner on a daily basis, just mascara.
I wear a navy eyeliner on the top and white on the bottom(it opens your eyes) with black mascara.
i wear brown eyeliner. but i still wear black mascara because you can notice my eyes more and it looks prettier.
wear a gold or a pink eyeshadow, and brown eyeliner blends in better.
4 eyeshadow i say like pink eyeliner green like that u will look pretty
i just wear like a nude color to lighten my eyes because they are dark from lack of sleep. haha
    Bright green

    Natural primer for eyeshadow?

i need primer before to apply eye shadow,i used primer for the makeup in my face but my eyes is dangerous zone.thanksNatural primer for eyeshadow?
Go to a MAC counter and ask them for a paint pot or a paint. I use paints, the lighter the colour the more your eyeshadow will pop. MAC paints are really good, they look small and cost alot but I have had mine for over 3 months now and i use it alot also i use it when doing makeup on others, paint pots come in different colours so if you have blue eye shadow on you can put the blue paint pot under and this will stop it from creasing and forming lines and it will make the colour POP! You can get paint pots in natural colours too! Good luckNatural primer for eyeshadow?
Urban decay's primer potion works wonders, seriously try it, my eyes were the worst area, but i don't worry about that too much anymore.
    PREP+PRIME EYE

A light textured cream to wear on the eyes as an undercoat to eye makeup. Primes the lids. Smooths textures, neutralises lid colour. Use under eye shadow, pigments, paints and concealers.

i love love love urban decay primer potion but if you want one that will last awhile buy a thing of vaseline it works just as well as a primer but put a thin layer on and let it set for a couple of minutes
Bare Minerals has a Prime Time Eye that is natural I believe.

How do I ask my mom to let me wear a natural, light, eyeshadow? She doesn't want me to?

I'm 11. All I want is a light, natural, eyeshadow. To school I've worn a non-noticable light light purple. I've been THINKING about it for a while. I have long, black, eyelashes, so I don't need mascara, I know that. I want eyeshadow, I don't want mascara. Possibly eyeliner, but I don't know. I don't know how to ask her, because I'm afraid she'll tell my dad, and he doesn't want me to grow up AT ALL, because I'm the only girl and I'm the youngest in my family. I'm 11. My dad is only home on weekends, so he wouldn't see me go to school with it. Once, going to a school football game, I wore a blue eyeshadow that was noticable, because blue is our school color, and they freaked. I don't want to go crazy with it. I just want eyeshadow! Today at the mall, while we were walking past the makeup, I almost brought it up, but I didn't know how to ask her. I'm not sure what to say, because I don't want her to get mad, like the football game incident. How should I ask her?How do I ask my mom to let me wear a natural, light, eyeshadow? She doesn't want me to?
Ok, I'm 13 and asked my mom when I was 11 about makeup. It isn't hard you just have to mature and build up a little courage.

    First you need to sit down alone with her and bring up the subject seriously. Here's how you start, ';Mom, do you have time to talk about something kind of serious? I would like to talk to you.';

    She'll say yes, and then you say, ';I want to discuss me wearing makeup. I think I am old enough to wear a light eyeshadow, and I don't mean like at the football game, that was just a fun/silly way to show support for our team, I wouldn't wear it to school.';

    She'll respond yes or no, and if she says no calmly ask her, ';Why not?';

She'll give you a reason and you just need to let her know about your feelings and that you are growing up and maturing and makeup is just a ';right of passage';. Tell her that wearing a little eyeshadow isn't going to make you do bad things, it's just a ';beauty enhancer';. Be nice a respect your mother's decision though, and good luck talking to her about the subject, I know it gets awkward!

    I hope I helped!

P.S. Colors you should wear or neuturals and pinks, no no no blues, greens, or anything else like that. Purple are fine if they are a VERY light lilac. How do I ask my mom to let me wear a natural, light, eyeshadow? She doesn't want me to?
When I was your age I was really interested in makeup. The best things to do is ask your mom. Be honest with her and tell her you just want a little bit. Then, tell her that if you can wear it before you leave for school everyday she can check your make-up out and make sure it looks okay. Tell her that you know you're only eleven but you want to start wearing just a little bit. Show her how you would wear it also. Maybe once she sees it on it won't be so bad to her.

    Good luck!
Just simply tell your parents that you won't over load on the make up.

Maybe take your mom out shopping with you one day after you have talked to her about trying out make up. Show her what you want and you can compromise on a good color eye shadow. But just a word of advice... stay away from blue eye shadow. Its TOO noticable, and kind of trashy.

Also, make sure your not sneaking anything because if your mom doesn't trust you then that could delay when you will get to wear make up.
    Just buy it anyway.

Then, ask her to let you wear it on weekends and when you go out. Or just play around with it around the house. After a while it should become nothing out of the ordenary.

Dont go with a blue or purple, its not natural at all.

Go with a warm brown/bronze or a gold/copper. Blend it well. And if you keep it to the lids, she might not notice at all.

Or if that doesnt work, just put it on when you get to school and rub it out before you get home,
11 is quite young to start wearing make up but if you want to then that's fine. I started wearing make up without telling my parents, I went for the light purple too!

Going behind your parents backs is never really a good idea, you'll always be feeling guilty.

Maybe ask your mum to teach you how to put on make up. Would she let you have a friend over for a sleepover? Get together some make up and some magazine cuttings about doing make up and give each other a makeover. Even better, get your mum to do the make up for you both. Once she realises you're growing up and are responsible she'll be much more willing to allow you to wear makeup.

Your dad is going to have to accept that you're growing up and this will come with time.

    Good luck with it
You're only 11! I'm sure you're sick of hearing this, but you should be a kid while you can. You only have another year or two of being a kid, so why not enjoy it?

I love the green eyeshadow combo of

moss scape (dark green paint pot)

    juxt (light green)

    flourishing (dark green)

put the moss scape on with an eyeshadow brush *different than the one you use for your powder shadow* up to your crease

apply juxt with your powder eyeshadow brush to the whole lid, up to the brow which will give you the highlights because the moss scape is darker

apply flourishing to the outter corner of you eye to about halfway into the lid to the crease and then put some on your crease to blend everything in.Pls suggest at least 3 MAC eyeshadow shades that is for everyday use? I love natural or earth colors.?

Wear whatever you are most comfortable with. If you like to stand out, go with some bold colored eye shadows. If you like something more natural, go with that- it's all up to you! Oh, but don't wear too much makeup during the day. Save the heavier makeup for evening.

  • Guys- do you prefer your girlfriend with natural looking makeup or noticable eyeliner and eyeshadow?

I've always prefered natural looking make-up or no make up. Everytime my ex wore make up and it was noticable I asked her why she had so much on or any at all, and I thought she looked beautful without it. Then I would get yelled at.

But none or natural looking.Guys- do you prefer your girlfriend with natural looking makeup or noticable eyeliner and eyeshadow?
No makeup shows how pretty you really are, and they can except you that way. BTW, guys prefer natural becasue they might want to makeout with you and not be noticed by the ligh tgreens and blues.Guys- do you prefer your girlfriend with natural looking makeup or noticable eyeliner and eyeshadow?
It depends on the girl. My girlfriend has naturally dark eyelashes and i think she looks beautiful completely WITHOUT makeup. So it just depends on the girl.
I feel like natural is always better. However, a little to highlight the beauty that is already there is okay.
mostly natural but with eyeliner and light makeup to accentuate her bone structure and eyes.....wow sexy!!!
as long as its not suuper noticeable, and gross, im fine. if she is wearing massive amounts of makeup...she better be able to pull it off ;)
    Natural
I prefer the ';Avril Lavigne'; look. Very sexy!!
definitely natural, maybe a little makeup but not so much that you can see but try not to over do it
    I prefer no make-up...
good question. I always wondered this.
    natural, or none at all
it dont matter as long as she looks good

I'm 11, and I don't know how to ask!?
Ok, first of all you need to ask her. I don't know why you are so embarassed. If you were my daughter, and you asked me like you did in your post, I don't think I would say no. Start the conversation by saying you remember that she and your dad got really mad at you at the football game because you wore blue eyeshadow. You have been thinking about it and you understand why. Ask her, if she would be mad, if you chose a very light color eyeshadow to wear. Let her know she can pick the color for you. If she says she would be mad, ask her why? Tell her to reconsider that you would like to wear a light natural tone. If she still says no, I think you need to say ok I respect your decision and tell her you understand. Then, you will have to wait. At least by saying you respect her decision, you are letting her know you are growing up and you are maturing in some ways. Then, I would ask again next year. If you get the same respons, explain it to her again. You have nothing to lose by asking. If your mom tells your dad, calmly explain the same thing to him. And ask him if it would be ok, if mom picked out the color. If he still says no, you need to respect the decision because you are eleven and need to listen to your parents, but it is always ok, to ask, and explain why you would like to do something. How do I get my mom to let me wear a light, natural, eyeshadow? I'm 11, and I don't know how to ask!?
Hi there! I know it's difficult to talk to Mom's about certain things. Do you have an older sister or maybe a favorite Aunt that can break the ice with your Mom about that topic?

You sound like a reasonable, smart girl, and good for you for wanting to talk to your Mom first. I'd just be honest and say Mom, I've been thinking about wearing a pale/light color eye shadow. When do YOU think that would be appropriate for my age? I don't want anything crazy, just a little something.

How is that? Good luck to you!
Your 11, don't worry about it yet.
You are too young for eyeshadow. Enjoy your youth--there will be plenty of time for this in your teens.
put it on one night at home and ask her if it looks okay. if she says no then you got your answer. But personally...sorry to say... but I think 11 is too young for anything but lip gloss.
ur eleven ur not suppose to wear makeup. your to young. you will look like a clown if you do. no jk! lol. dont wear makeup until ur 15. ok ok!

Can you please pick me as best answer? Please? Yay!
Your parents want to put off you becoming sexually active as long as possible. It is the nature of their role.

Ultimately, why do you WANT to wear eye shadow? You want to look better for who?

Having seen Jon Benet Ramsey (SP?) wearing lipstick and frills and seeing what happened to her, can you blame them?
No offense heather, but isn't 11 kinda young to wear makeup? I couldn't wear makeup till my 16th bday, and that was when my grandma persuaded my mom.
Be respectful to your parents and they will respect you back. You may not always get what you want, but at least you will be respected.

Why wear eye shadow that is barely noticeable? Seems like a waste.
hmmmm i would wait until lets say you are 16 then ask her

and purple??!! wow yes please wait until you are 16
    Okay i am 14 :)

and how i got my parents to start letting me was,

    start off wearing barely any.

and then gradually day by day and a little more and they will get used to it.

they just don't want their little girl to grow up too fast.

show them that it is not noticeable %26lt;3
I think you should start talking to ur mom about her when she was at your age and how she felt about makeup and if she did use it, then after finding out a few things that'll probably back up ur question/argument, ask her. Basicaly get on her soft side, remind her of her childhood and what she wanted to do and couldn't or what she actually did, then share ur concern with her :-) Good luck!

don't become addicted to makeup, it's always nicer to look natural... anyway, make-up is over rated :P
Don't feel bad i'm almost 13 and i'm just starting to wear makeup! OMG my dad is the same way my sister is 15 and he still doesn't like her wearing makeup!

Bring it up casually and do it when she's putting on makeup or when makeup is brought up don't bring it up out of no where! Now ask when she started wearing makeup and ask her if you can be allowed to wear it when you are that age!
Just be honest with her. Ask her ';Mom, I've been thinking and I would really like to try wearing a little bit of eyeshadow in a neutral color. I don't want to over do it, but I just would like to know how to put it on and I need your help..Will you help me pick out a color and help me put it on?'; As a mother I think it would be easier to cope that my little girl is growing up if she involved me in her changes and needed my help. Good luck.
umm...i started wearing make up when i was 13 just tell her you feel like you need it or day that you are growing up..and ould like it
At 11 you should not be wearing ANY make up....unless it's lip gloss
Try something that is a little different from your original complexion.( maybe your same shade just a little shimmer). If you don't have any, walk around a department store and casually pick it up and ask her what she thinks about it. The key is starting in the right direction. Then you gradually introduce her to other colors if she says yes about the the first one. You have to remember that while growing up is a change for you, your growing up is also a change for them. ( Your parents, that is) If she decides no, no harm done. You've got a couple more years to convince her. Just remember that you are beautful with or wtihout it.
Ask her if she'll buy you something light so you can start practicing for when you are older and tell her that you want her to show you how to wear it. If she refuses. Just take some from her make-up drawer and put it on when you get to school. Just keep asking, she'll give in after a while.
I honestly think that 11 is too young to wear makeup to school...I think that maybe at the weekend and for a special occoasion then a very light makeup may be ok....I just think that you should prepare yourself for a no...ask if you can wear it at the weekends....that may go down better.
you are 11. you shouldn't be wearing make-up yet!
your too young. I started wearing makeup when i was 13. Also why would you wear unnoticeable eyeshadow, the whole point is to bring out your eyes! How is it going to do that, if you can't see it? Also, the way i got my parents to say yes was...well i never asked them, i just put on makeup and i don't think they notice/care.

Photos of professional, natural-looking formal makeup (with silver eyeshadow)?

I'm looking for photos of people (celebrities, models, etc.) wearing natural-looking makeup suitable for a formal; particularly those wearing silver/grey eyeshadow.

My formal's coming up soon and I want some good quality photos of silver eye makeup to show the makeup artist. So far I would like really shimmery silver eyes and natural rosy lips and cheeks.

If anyone has any tips for the eye makeup please answer!Photos of professional, natural-looking formal makeup (with silver eyeshadow)?

when i use make up on my eyes it makes them red and i know that if i continue it can make my eyes get diseases . is there any natural makeup that doesnt hurt your eyesIs there any brand of natural / healthy eyeliner eyeshadow and mascara ? ones that dont ruin your eyes?
Sleek is new brand which makes professional make-up but without the unnecessary chemicals. If you live in England, Superdrug stores it. If you live in the US just google them and they soon will be able to deliver international, but not just yet.Is there any brand of natural / healthy eyeliner eyeshadow and mascara ? ones that dont ruin your eyes?
One of my favorite brands is Urban Decay. In addition to their awesome fun colors, many of their products are vegan. Which isn't necessarily 'all natural', but it's much better than some other things that are put into makeup.

It's never irritated my eyes in any of the times I've worn it.

Just look for the products with the pawprint!
Ive been using physicians formula for 6 years now. Theres aome products i havent been too happy with, and they dont have a huge selection, but, ive never had a bad reaction to it. Its been the best for my face and eyes.
You can try Bare Minerals or any mineral make up. Buxom Lash is a great mascara, I use it. It only has natural ingredients I think but you might want to look that up first.
Aveda makeup is all natural. :)

How do i go for a natural look but still have makeup eyeshadow and all on?
    its kind of a funny concept, wear all the makeup steps, but show nothing, it took me a while to get it lol, just use good not cakey brands, natural and neutral colors (ones that match your own skin, and lips) and dont over use%26gt;

so a natural look wouldnt nessecarily be a matte smokey one, go for a dewy skin, so that means a bit if highlighter (i like benefit highbeam,)and then a good foundation, if you have even skin you dont even need foundation (most likely) just use a concealer for miner inperfections (freckles can stay, thats part of being ';natural';) but if you do in fact need a foundation, you can try a liquid, id go with chanel, or clinique (just ask the ppl a the makup counter which one is the best for you) i think smashbox foundation is also really smooth and creamy, if thats to expensive, then i guess loreal makes some ok ones, i dot use liquid anymore cause it melts right off me i use Bare Minerals its amazing, you hardly even need any it jsut brushes away inpefections (speaking of brushes benefits buff brush it the one i use for fuondation its really soft)

ok so moving right along, the point here is if you dont need it dont use it, if it aint broke dont fix it, get it? if you feel that you have to use blush use it in moderation (NOT like a geisha) pick a shade that matches the color you natually blush (rub or gently scratch one cheek the shade of pink that you see should be the shade of blush you buy) only put it on the apples of cheeks, and blend it, same for bronzer, its ok to go for a sunkissed look and still be natural, just find one that is NOT ORANGE thats the worst, and dont get one thats way darker than your own skin, choose within your color range, only apply this where the sun hits your face, (forehead, bridge of nose, cheek bones, and if you want a little on your chin) and of caorse belnd it.

for the eyes go with subtle colors, (honey, champagne, chocolates, peaches, tan, taupe, golds, and even greys can be ok, if you want a more edgey flare) never go over board, black liner probably istnt the best for this idea, try dark brown (i use benefit khol pencils) you just do a thin line and blend it with the otehr end (a little sponge on the pencil) for mascara i always use black you can try brwon but its not for me (i have brown eyes to) just dont buy one that says volumizing or XXL thats to much drama, i have clinique mascaras (naturally glossy, and long %26amp; pretty lashes) naturally glossy pretty much just adds color, and keeps lashes looking clean and soft never clumped, the other one is pretty self explanetory, it makes them look really long and lenghthy, not so much fuller or thicker.

ok now for the lips, for this look (which i do go for alot) i think a gloss is the best way to go, but i really do love lipstick it may not be the best way to go about this look (they can sometimes look gloppy, or to thick) but like i said its all about the color and the brand, if you do like lipstick, get a couple different shades: a pinkish nude (basiclly one taht looks like your own lip color), a tawny-brown (probably a light or medium shade for you with your light skin) and then a peachy color if you want (which should be more sheer rather than full coverage cause taht can end up looking orange instead, again ORANGE is BAD) for lipsticks i pretty much only use clinique and chanel, chanels are really wonderfull, theyre lightwheight yet creamy, and they last all day, cliniques are pretty good to, my natural chanel shades that i recommend are ';Temptation';, and maybe ';Evanessent'; for clinique shades i have ';Tenderheart'; it goes one sheer with one coat, and you can make it darker with a couple more, but when i put it on i can barley even see it, thats the trick again these are a bit pricey but totally worth it, if you simply wont do it, then try loreal lipstick i think theyre ok, revlon is to oily. ok so back to gloss our better option here,

clear is fine it looks especially gorgeous if you play up the eyes or cheeks instead (still being subtle of coarse), sheer gloss is always good, a peach or pink is fine, even a brighter watermelon color is cute and fun, as long as its not overkill) ok have fun remember blend your colors and no harsh lines anywhere! : )
Just use neutral shades that are close to your skin tone. Start with neutral eyeshadow and add eyeliner in either a brown or black shade. Apply the eyeliner in a thin line so it's not too noticeable. Then curl your eyelashes and add one coat of mascara. Finish off with a lip balm or a light peachy or pink transluscent gloss.
Try Bare Minerals. It's very natural looking %26amp; good for your skin as well.

natural foundations will work, and just a brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner and mascara and just some brown lipstick or lipgloss

I would say L'oreal True Match for the face and maybe L'oreal Bare Naturale Eyeshadows it works great for me
use cover up and dust bronzer all over your face and ur eyelids... it looks really natural

What are some natural substances you can use as an eyeshadow base?

I usually find natural substances such as vaseline, lotions, lemon juice, etc .. in place from buying expensive things.

So, I would love to know what you can use as a natural eyeshadow base? What are some natural substances you can use as an eyeshadow base?
umm yeah just go to sephora! natural stuff dont do the wonders of what real makeup does babe sorry! What are some natural substances you can use as an eyeshadow base?
    ?lotions? natural substance? ****?
erm if ur daring you can use water? And vaseline is cheap....

What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow to look natural aswell?

Use a good eye shadow brush, the MAC ones are great. Use neutral tones: pale pinks, golds, light browns, beige. The most important thing is to build the colour slowly, not overload your brush and smear it on. Very lightly take the colour onto your brush, shake off excess, and lightly brush onto the eyelid in a sidways sweeping motion. If you want more colour, do the same thing a second time, then maybe even a third. What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow to look natural aswell?
use colors that are closer to your skin tone. and go darker to lighter going from lash to brow. hope that helps. oh and never wear blue eyeshadow cause that just looks bad on anyone especially if you have blue eyes. What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow to look natural aswell?
make sure you blend it and use colors that go together. don't use anything too over the top or you'll look dumb. make sure the colors go w/ your clothes or your eyes. don't put on too much, and don't put bright color all the way up to your brow. have fun experimenting! :)
Use a trowel and put on as much dark colour as possible.
    Blend blend blend....
you will look more natural without it.
use a brush, brush lightly downwards towards lashes.
find a brand that you like, find the right shade apply with a makeup brush and blend blend blend. practice until you like what you see
jus make sure you blend it in, then it'll look natural. obviously you have to use the right colours too!
Use a brown shade and apply it evenly in the crease of your eye using a makeup brush designed for eyeshadow.
use the fold of the eye dar

k at bottom light above fold blend for as natural look
I get compliments on my makeup often and to tell you the truth I don't have much of it. What I do have is carried in my purse at all times. ***I carry a small purse. I have foundation (the compact type), blush (Neutral tones, browns with a touch of pink), brown eyeliner, mascara, eyelash curler and lip gloss. It takes me less than a minute to apply all of it. I put my foundation on then I break out the blush. :) I apply it to my cheeks and then to the creases of my eye lids. I then use my brown eyeliner above the tops of my eyelashes (I never go to the center corner of my eyes). Then I apply it to the bottoms (under my eyelashes (heavier on the outer eye but not too thick)) I then lightly shade my eyebrows with the same eyeliner I used on my eyes. I curl my lashes, apply mascara and put on my lip gloss. You see... I don't own any eyeshadow. It's not really needed. If you by the right type of blush and use it on your eyes as well you'll have a beautiful natural glow and everything will blend and look great. Good luck and God bless!
To have a natural look choose colors that are light and neutral like pinks, browns, golds, bronzes, green. Blend colors that use well on the the lid. Use brown eyeliner instead of black and even try a brown black mascara.
Use a very soft applicator brush and very neutral colours, go to a make up counter and ask them to demonstrate, the body shop are good.
go to http://www.mybodybeautiful.co.uk/Beauty/鈥?/a> and you'll find expert advice
Do not use applicators or brushes when u apply eyeshadow. Use your fingers to blend. It will look more natural.
Being a crossdresser into make-up, I say just go wild no holds barred if you ask me. Eyeshadow is meant to be bold the more un-natural the better.
put on the brown shade lghtly and blend it well that it will look like your natural skin color. too much make up will make you look like a clown.
    Its all in the blending

Which color of eyeshadow does it look natural the most, but it still is pretty?

I have a brown eyes with a little dark but still light skin. I want to put white and I kind of like it but do you know other colors? I want it to look natural so I want a lighter color? If you also know can you tell me the brand names or a website as well.Which color of eyeshadow does it look natural the most, but it still is pretty?
try a copper with a bit of shimmer. that usually looks goodWhich color of eyeshadow does it look natural the most, but it still is pretty?
i dont hve any brand names to give you, but i wud say start with a lighter base, and darken your eyes on the insaide and outside corner; then add a dark brown eyeliner pencil starting from the outside and working toward the tearduc of your eye. Then to give your makeup a final natural look, use the lightest shade of eyeshadow again and use a little on the inside. This may be a bit confusing but it will look rly cute!
go on youtube and search up natural makeup techniques this helps a lot and i have very light skin and dark brown eyes and i use very light tan or any shade of brown eyeshadow or dark brown shadow works great too if you apply it all over your eyelid to the top of your brows and then a little below your eyes it looks verry natural and that you dont have any makeup on and it makes your eyes brighter and much better well i hoped that helped! =]

P.S i think she's really good and i'm one of her subscribers. hope it helps
Honestly with brown eyes and a light skin tone you should stick with browns and beige's, or even light hues of pink could work. Nothing outrageous or crazy. M.A.C cosmetics is a really good brand as well as Urban Decay. But, if you're not that into make-up CoverGirl, Maybeline, and Max Factor are really good brands.

Recipe for all natural ingredients eyeshadow and makeup?

I was just curious if anyone knew of recipe(s) for eye makeup (eye shadow), and some kind of powder foundation? I've been experimenting with corn starch and some other things and found that it ';almost'; does the trick, but that I need to find something to powderize the stuff more that I mixed in with it. It was just out of curiosity. The ';mineral'; makeups got my curiosity... my daughter was making powder from rocks in the driveway and putting it on her face and I wondered if that particular substance was harmful, or if that, is in essence, what those ';minerals'; are?

It would be kind of cool to mix my own makeup at home, in any case. Just trying to figure out what I can use, that won't cause problems. Ideas? Thoughts?Recipe for all natural ingredients eyeshadow and makeup?
vaseline and baby powder creates instant white eyeshadow.

    Part one:

With Mortar or bowl and spoon, thourghly mix the following together:

    5.5g Corn starch (2.5 tsp)

    13g Arrowroot Powder (5 tsp)

    2g Magnesium Sterate (2.5 tsp)

    6ml Jojoba Oil (1 1/4 tsp)

Part one is a base batch in which you will only be using a small amount for this first recipe. Put part 1 into a sterile container and

make sure it is closed tightly.

    Part 2

In Mortar or with spoon and bowl mix the following very well:

    1.3g Arrowroot powder (.5 tsp)

2 drops Jojoba or castor oil

NOW take 1 tsp of part 1 and mix well with part 2. Once you have

achieved a homogenous mixture add Part 3

    Part 3

    1g Pigment (.5 tsp)

    HOW TO BLEND PIGMENTS

Using the back of a spoon and a bowl press all the ingredients as you are mixing them against the side. If you are using a sparkle or glitter pigment be sure not to crush the mix. If the shade is too dark add part 1 at small increments (and I mean pinches) till you get the

color that you like. My friend suggests developing the color you like first and them adding just plain arrowroot powder to see what the color will be (this is not exact but will give a good idea).

Hope that you enjoy making the eye shadow!

    2 1/2 tsp. Magnesiun Stearate

    1/2 tsp. pigment blend

Add 1 tsp. corn starch for oily skin.

    Part 3

    3 tsp white mica

Pour oil in mortor, set aside.Thoroughly Mix ingredients in part 2 in a different bowl. Slowly add part 2 in the mortor with part 1 , with pistil mix, mix, mix. Keep mixing until the mixture becomes homogenous. Now add part stiring very carefully with a spoon.Recipe for all natural ingredients eyeshadow and makeup?

I think you are using the right colors. Browns maybe some whites and neutral colors, you know?
No eye shadow defiantely looks better than any eye shadow out there. But if you absolutely need eye makeup, then just go for a few shades darker than your natural skin tone. Supposedly it makes your eyes look bigger, but it varies from person to person...

netrogena mineral shades they have light colors and they dont have a bunch of chemicals in them that clog skin i have a goldish tan one and it has two colors in it that compliment each other price is $6
yes browns, bronzes and shimmers are pretty natural.
MAC. alot of glam-whores at my school use mac.
just go to cvs or wallgreens. just use the stuff there. and natural colors are great to keep it casual.

Sephora has a bunch of good brands. But a really good priced one is the Sephora brand.
At any cosmetic counter..if you wanna try the stuff..go to Macy's or Jones..they will also teach you now to apply it correctly...
Go to Merle Norman. There's probably one in your local mall. They can help you find exactly what you're looking for.

you can buy it online at avon - http://www.youravon.com/mdelgado

there's lots of different kinds and they're cheap too.

What is the best natural, light, eyeshadow?

I need a light, natural, eyeshadow, but it has to be kind of copper-ish, golden, a little shimmer, not bright. Something NOT expensive, under $10 would be best. I'm going to start wearing make-up, and I need a light one. I won't be wearing eyeliner or mascara with it.

Thanks! What is the best natural, light, eyeshadow?
    reeny :)

i wear covergirl stuff i bought at target, lol

A lot of the major makeup brands have eye shadow palettes. It's helpful to experiment to see what you think looks best on you.
i'm going to make a suggestion that may get my head bit off, go to

    http://www.covergirl.com/

    CoverGirl

its affordable and a good product for beginners. you can get color matched on the site, some neat stuff there.

    good luck.
    Hm,

I would get somethin (cheap) at like Walgreens.

    The brand being ';Wet n' Wild';

and just get s shimmery powder that is a goldish skin color :)
Get something by Maybelline New York. They make shimmery eyeshadow, and it comes in lots of colors.
I would suggest going to Sephora (God's Gift to women everywhere)...If you don't know what it is, then Sephora is the biggest make-up store alive and has so many different products and the ladies that work there are just great and will test products on you if you are not sure of buying them. Who wouldn't want a free make-over?!? And they don't just do half your face like some department stores. I'd go there if you want some great products and they can help you match your skin tone to certain eyeshadows that bring out eyes more.

Also, if you want to go a little bit of a cheaper route....go to Walmart or Walgreens and browse. I would suggest a pinkish natural gold color eyeshadow because it will blend with your skin and also catch a bit of glimmer from the gold in light. If you love it, buy 2 so you can put one in your purse for on-the-go touch-ups!
Mary Kay has an awesome cream eye shadow that is easy to apply. There are two colors: island bronze and vanilla. You can either wear the bronze on your eyelid with the vanilla up to your eyebrow; or either color just on your eyelid for a quick, natural but enhanced look. You just dab it across your lid and blend it in. They're called eyecicles eye color. Good Luck!

What companies have natural eyeshadow that is good quality and pigmented?

I'm looking for some cosmetic companies that have great natural eyeshadow that is pigmented enough so that you can just use one swipe and it looks like it does in the container. I haven't found anything, though! Any suggestions? What companies have natural eyeshadow that is good quality and pigmented?
TARTE! I love them and they're natural!!!!

    Here's a link...

Depends on what your definition of ';natural'; is, but I guess you could probably try some mineral eyeshadows. They're really pigmented and bright. I have a few from a company called Micabella (they normally have a little kiosk/cart in the mall. Nice pigmentation but a bit pricey) or you could try Bare Minerals eyeshadows. Either way, try a mineral eyeshadow, they're generally pretty nice. Good luck!
    I am a makeup artist.

First off, you need to be more specific...natural?? do you mean natural colors (browns, beiges, taupes, etc) or ORGANIC? Natural would be not wearing makeup at all sweet heart!

If you mean mineral makeup, MAC makes the most pigmented mineral eyeshadows out there right now. They come in a duo, which is more bang for the buck, at $19:

However, all of Mac's eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, but not all are minerals.

I don't know of any other companies that are producing vibrant color mineral or organic shadows, but i'm sure there will be more coming soon with this whole organic craze!

    Hope this helps! :)
This company makes natural products. Their products are very high quality as far as I know %26amp; are well known.

Click on this link for more information about them http://whatreallyworks.co.uk/start/NewPr鈥?/a>

They sell them in good health shops. But also online.
MAC is known for being very pigmented. I have used it with my 217 and 252 brush and it works wonders! 1 shadow can be as subtle or as dramatic as you want, if you know how to use it right!
